Kim Hansen is a visionary entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of Cake Equity, a QLD-based fintech company that’s on a mission to make equity simple for global startups. With a mission to make the startup ecosystem a better place and a knack for technological innovation, Kim has devoted his career to creating solutions that help tech startups succeed.

Kim’s journey in the world of fintech started early as a software engineer, working at some of the biggest banks and financial institutions in Portugal. This early foray into the fintech space gave Kim a solid foundation for his future endeavours, leading him to co-found Cake Equity with Jason Atkins in 2019. Today, Cake’s userbase continues to grow beyond the coast of Australia and in 50+ countries around the world. Apart from his entrepreneurial pursuits, Kim is deeply passionate about building healthy startup cultures.

Kim believes that a strong and supportive company culture is essential for innovation and success, and he actively cultivates this ethos at Cake Equity. As an advocate for a creative and healthy lifestyle, Kim leads by example, making it a priority to practice meditation, yoga, surfing, and spending time in nature whenever possible."
